Lockdown: We’ve Disbursed ₦147m To 7,351 Women – FG

The Federal Government has disbursed over ₦147 million to 7,351 vulnerable women in Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa under the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Programme.

Alhaji Abubakar Dan-Barde, Cash Transfer Unit Coordinator in the area, made the disclosure on Monday during the disbursement in Guri.

According to NAN, each woman received N20,000 as payment covering the months of January, February, March, and April.

He said another set of 1,140 women would soon be paid the support funds after they were issued with their payment cards.

NSCDC Arrests Three Drug Dealers In Jigawa

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State command, has arrested three suspected drugs dealers in Dutse.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the command’s spokesman, SV Adamu Shehu, issued to DAILY POST.

He explained that the suspects were arrested on 30/01/20 at around 2325hrs by operatives of the State Vigilante group on patrol at the Dutse Old Market, along Kiyawa Road and handed over to NSCDC Jigawa Command for proper investigation and prosecution.

The suspects, Mu’azu Umar (24), Adamu Ya’u (19) and Ibrahim Haruna (23) are residents of Fagoji quarters in Dutse LGA.

The Lagos state government has been sued for unlawful detention by the 123 men from Jigawa State who were detained by the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement Unit) on Monday.

The men are demanding N1 billion for illegal detention.

The men who were coming from Jigawa State were intercepted along Moshalashi Road, Agege alongside 48 motorcycles in a truck, but were later released after investigation.
