
Discharged COVID-19 Patients Suffer Memory Loss, Lung Damage
A report by Israeli TV Channel 12 said many of the discharged COVID-19 patients are discovering new health problems such as long-term debilitating physical, cognitive and psychiatric damage.
According to an investigation by the Channel, recovered patients, including those with mild symptoms, are suffering from phantom pains, memory loss, personality changes, psychological issues and extreme fatigue, along with lungs that won’t heal.
The health fallout is being experienced months after being discharged from hospital.
Israel has recorded just over 20,000 COVID-19 cases, with some 300 fatalities, reports the Times of Israel, which carried the Channel 12 report.
