Russia Mounts Attack On Snake Island Over Ukraine’s Flag Hoist

While reacting to the hositing of a Ukrainian flag over snake island, a Russian aircraft has bombarded the Island some hours after the flag was raised.

Both the Russian Defense Ministry and the Ukrainian armed forces confirmed the attack.

“At dawn, during an aerial overflight and reconnaissance of Zmiiny (Snake) island, it was attacked by 2 air-launched missiles. The dock was significantly damaged,” the Ukrainian military said.

NY: Long Island Man Stabbed In Stomach By Enraged Driver

Thanksgiving Day turned into a nightmare for a Long Island man when he was stabbed in the stomach by a deranged driver.

The 44-year-old victim was stabbed around 2:37 p.m. Thursday in Manorville by Gregory Spina, 43, as the victim’s wife watched helplessly, police said.

The victim, a Manorville resident, was driving along Wading River Road at about 2:30 p.m. when Spina, driving a gray Volvo, blazed past him at the South Street intersection, police said.

The victim, whose name was not released, believed Spina hit his 2017 Hyundai. So he pulled into a parking lot next to the intersection

Another Fire Razes Building At Lagos Island Martins Street

Barely 24 hours after a fire incident that gutted a building at 43 Martins Street in Lagos Island, another fire has been reported in the same area, this time at 45 Martins Street.

NLNG Spends $30bn On Gas Plants In Bonny Island – MD

The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Company (NLNG) has invested over 30 billion US dollars (₦10.8 trillion) to build gas facilities and other infrastructures in Bonny Island, Rivers, an official said.

Mr Tony Attah, Managing Director of NLNG disclosed this on Sunday at the end of week-long activities marking the company’s 20/30 Anniversary Celebration.

A drawing by late South African president Nelson Mandela of the door of his prison cell on Robben Island — where he was held for 18 years — sold on Thursday in New York for $112,575.

“The Cell Door, Robben Island” — completed in 2002 by the Nobel peace laureate — exceeded the top end of the estimated range provided by Bonhams, which put its value at $60,000 to $90,000.

The wax pastel crayon drawing shows a few bars of the cell door and a key in the lock, sketched in purple.
