Buhari, NITDA Govt Vows To Investigate Lagos State

The government of President Muhammad Buhari, through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), has vowed to investigate the Lagos State government over what it described as the breach of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), 2019.

This was contained in a statement made available to THISDAY on Friday by the Chief Information Officer of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi.

Authorities To investigate Soyombo’s Ikoyi Prison Stories

Nigerian Correctional Service said it has set up a “high powered panel” to investigate the allegations in an investigative report made by undercover journalist Fisayo Soyombo.

The first installment of the three-part investigation by Soyombo exposed how Nigerian policemen “pervert the course of justice in their quest for ill-gotten money”.
