Russia Details Plans To Quit International Space Station After 2024

In lieu of the ongoing conflict between the Russians and the Ukrainians, Russia has made an announcement that it has decided to fully quit the International Space Station “after 2024”.

This announcement was made by the newly-appointed chief of Moscow’s space agency who had made the report to President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

SpaceX Brings NASA Astronauts Safely Home In Milestone Mission

America’s first crewed spaceship to fly to the International Space Station in nearly a decade returned safely to Earth on Sunday, splashing down in the Gulf of Mexico.

The mission, carried out jointly by NASA and the private company SpaceX, demonstrated that the United States has the capacity once more to send its astronauts to space and bring them back.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavour splashed into the water off Pensacola, Florida at 2:48 pm (1848 GMT), trailed by its four main parachutes.

It was the first water landing for a crewed US spaceship since the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission.

New Rules Apply As US-Russian Space Crew Blasts Off

A US-Russian space crew blasted off Thursday to the International Space Station (ISS) following a tight quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic.

NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy and Roscosmos’ Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner lifted off as scheduled at 08:05am GMT from the Russian-operated Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Their Soyuz MS-16 spacecraft was set to dock at the station six hours later.
