FG Approves Purchase Of ₦660bn Innoson Vehicles For FRSC

In a fresh directive, the Federal Government of Nigeria has on Wednesday made an approval of a fresh contract to the indigenous motor company, Innoson, to supply up to 21 vehicles to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The Nigerian Information Minister, Lai Mohammed had made this disclosure to newsmen at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which had been chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, at Aso Rock Villa.

SKC Ogbonnia, a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to replace his German-made Mercedes Benz official car with a vehicle from Innoson Motors.

Ogbonnia made the call while stressing that the coronavirus pandemic should push Nigerian leaders into patronizing locally-made products.

Innoson sues GT Bank’s directors for contempt

Innoson Nigeria Limited has filed a contempt action at the Federal High Court (FHC), Awka, Anambra State, against the managing director of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Segun Agbaje, and two others, asking them to show why they should not be committed to prison.

The other two are chairman of the bank, Mrs. Osaretin Demuren, and the secretary, Erhi Obededuo.

Innoson Motors to seal GTB head office over ₦8.8b debt

Innoson Motors said it would move to the headquarters of Guaranty Trust Bank in Lagos to effect the judgement of courts that awarded it an estimated N8.8billion.

The company’s spokesman Cornell Osigwe said this in an interview with Daily Trust on Saturday.

Already, Innoson’s agents had sealed seven branches of the bank in Awka and Enugu and plans to take further action by sealing the head office of the top flight bank.
