Group Embarks On CSR Initiative

Over 1,000 food hampers will be delivered to families at internally displaced persons’ (IDP) camp in Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria this week, by crowdfunding platform – Giving.ng. 

The platform which uses crowdfunding to address pressing social problems in sustainable ways working with various partners is powered by Sterling One Foundation.

On the 28th of December 2019, the Foundation launched a fund raising campaign for its inaugural feeding programme in Lagos during the Eat Drink Festival.

The campaign objective was to put a smile on the faces of 1000 less privileged families struggling below the breadline.

13 States Benefited From Global Fund Malaria Initiative

Thirteen states of the federation, including Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Kwara, Niger, Taraba, Gombe, Yobe, Adamawa, Ogun, Osun and Delta states are currently benefiting from the health and peace initiative supported by the Global Fund (GF).

The Civil Society is driving the health initiative in Malaria Control, Immunisation and Nutrition (ACOMIN).

ACOMIN said it has so far commenced work on the prevention, treatment and mitigation of the impact of malaria as well as the promotion of immunisation and better nutrition in the 13 states in Nigeria.

The states are also benefiting from peacebuilding initiative of ACOMIN among the warring communities.…
