Allow Us Buy Nnamdi Kanu’s Medications, IPOB Lawyer Tells DSS

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the legal representative of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has appealed to the Department of State Services (DSS) to allow family members to provide funds to be used for the medical treatment of his client. 

Ejiofor, the lawyer of the pro-Biafran group made the call on Monday, after returning from a court-ordered routine visit to the DSS headquarters in Abuja, where Kanu is being held under solitary confinement for over 14 months.

According to the IPOB lawyer, Kanu’s health condition of recent has been worsening in recent times.

I Am A Supporter Of IPOB’s Agitation, Wike Claims

Rivers State Governor and 2023 Presidential aspirant, Nyesom Wike has declared that he supports the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB recalling that the leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu once sang his praises.

He made these assertions when he appeared on a Channels Television’s Politics Today program which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York.

Wike claimed that he supports IPOB’s agitation, however, he frowns against the group’s violent approach to solving problems.

Apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has appealed for calm over the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Africa Daily News, New York reports that the Igbo group also urged the Federal Government to handle his trial with caution and due legal procedure.

Ohanaeze cautioned Igbos to desist from any form of protest that will endanger the Southeast and Nigeria.

Governor Nyesom Wike on Friday announced a ban on all activities of Igbo secessionist agitator group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB,  in Rivers State.

The ban follows the indictment of the group by the police in the series of violence that have rocked the Oyigbo Local Government Area and other parts of the State in the wake of the #EndSARS protests since the beginning of the week.

The Governor had on Wednesday declared 24 hours curfew in Oyigbo and other parts of the state to rein in activities of the group.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB took to his official Facebook page to announce his upcoming broadcast and also accuse Facebook of allegedly trying to block and shut down his Radio Biafra platform by sabotaging his broadcasts and knowingly causing glitches to mar the broadcasts.
