Parties Not Allowed To Receive Funds From Abroad, INEC Insists

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has once again reiterated its earlier stance that political parties in Nigeria are not allowed to receive funds from foreign countries.

Speaking on a Channels Television program which was monitored by Africa Daily News, New York, INEC National Commissioner, Festus Okoye, said parties are also not allowed to receive funds anonymously.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lagos State, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, has revealed that statistics show that the state currently has about seven million registered voters.
