The British government has unveiled sweeping immigration reforms, including stricter English language requirements and a shorter post-study visa period for international graduates, as part of a broader plan to tighten migration rules.
The measures, announced Tuesday October 14, 2025, by the Home Office, form part of the government’s new immigration white paper and its Plan for Change strategy, designed to create what officials call a “controlled, selective and fair” immigration system.
