Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has lambasted the Lagos State Government over the implementation of the setback parking levy in the state describing the move as illegal.

Following the enactment of the setback parking levy by the Lagos State Government, Human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), has criticised the administration for such rule describing it as unlawful.

SEC Goes Tough On Illegal Fund Managers

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has restated its determination to go after illegal fund managers in order to bring them to book.

Human rights activist, Femi Falana, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop members of his family from using aircraft in the presidential fleet.

The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) says from Dec. 21, it will embark on a clean-up exercise by removing illegal structures in Lekki, Lagos.

The House of Representatives has called on the federal government to immediately review the country’s immigration procedure with a view to restricting illegal immigration and repatriating illegal aliens residing in the country.

Some Civil Society Organizations have given a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to release Omoyele Sowore and other illegally detained persons or risk having a nationwide mass action.

Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, on Thursday said it has sacked over 600 members of staff over alleged irregular employment, overage and sundry other allegations.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Edward Olanipekun, said the decision of the university council followed adoption on Thursday of the audit report carried out by a group of external auditors.
