Iheanacho’s superb strike in the 2-1 home win against Crystal Palace was picked as the best at the club’s annual end of the season awards ceremony.

The spectacular goal was also named the club’s best for the month of April.

Nigeria and Leicester City’s in-form striker Kelechi Iheanacho insists he never gave up hope that he would return to form even during times of his carrier.

Iheanacho, 24, was overlooked by Nigeria for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals after finding himself on the fringes with the Foxes.
