$22.7B: Ubah Demands Inclusion Of S-East As Beneficiary

The Senator representing Anambra South in the Nigeria upper legislative chamber, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, has made a case for the inclusion of the South East zone in the approved $22.7 billion external loan requested by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ubah said the inclusion will among other things address the infrastructure deficits in the zone.
The Senate on Thursday, approved President Muhammadu Buhariβs request to borrow $22.7 billion despite objection from some Senators.
Buhari, in 2019 had sent the loan request to the Senate but was rejected by the Upper Legislative Chamber under the leadership of Bukola Saraki.
