It’s A Good Sign For PDP In 2023 – Okowa Praises Adeleke’s Victory

Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has openly reacted to Senator Ademola Adeleke’s victory at the just-concluded Osun governorship election while noting that it was a good omen for the party come 2023.

Senator Adeleke had beat the current governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the other contenders with over 400,000 votes across all local government areas.

Okowa Loses Key Aide Amos Itihwe, Third Aide In One Week

Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta on Tuesday commiserated with the family of Dr Amos Itihwe, one of his Executive Assistants, who died on Monday in Warri.

Itihwe, the EA on Political Matters, is Okowa’s third aide to pass away within one week.

On Monday, Okowa announced the death of two aides, Friday Akpoyibo and Godspower Muemuifo. Both died on March 8 and 4, respectively.

The governor, in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba, described the death of Itihwe, who was an assistant on Political Matters, as “sad and painful’’.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has congratulated his Kaduna State counterpart, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, who turns 60 years on Feb. 16 and described him as a courageous democrat.

Okowa’s felicitation was conveyed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, on Saturday in Asaba.

He extolled El-Rufai for what he called his tremendous contributions and sterling accomplishments in the service of his state and country.
