In lieu of the upcoming 2023 general elections, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has come out to openly warned all Nigerian politicians against the frivolous corruption petitions against some of their opponents.

Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye who is also the ICPC Chairman had openly given the warning on Friday in Abuja while he had been hosting the leadership of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) at the Commission’s Headquarters.

TASUED Finally Suspends Lecturer Declared Wanted By ICPC

The Management of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has given a fresh directive to immediately suspend one of their lecturers who has been identified as Dr. Olaniran Balogun, who had been previously declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Africa Daily News, New York had reported that the ICPC had in a few days ago, declared Balogun, who was the Head of the Department of Religious Studies at TASUED, wanted on the accusations that he had abused his office and demanded gratification.

While reacting to the recent raid on an Abuja property belonging to a Nigerian Millitary contractor, the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has charged the ICPC to reveal more accomplices while openly demanding a thorough investigation of a military contractor, Kabiru Sallau.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) said it has uncovered diversion of part of the ₦2.67 billion payments made to some Federal Colleges for school feeding during the lockdown.

ICPC Quizzes NDDC Officials Over Alleged Corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) said it recently quizzed top officials of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over various allegations of corruption.

Mrs Azuka Ogugua, Spokesperson of the Commission, said this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.

₦2.5bn DSO Trial: ICPC Has No Case Against Us – NBC boss

Defendants in the multi billion naira Digital Switch Over (DSO) contract trial have told the Abuja division of the Federal High Court that the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) has no prima facie case against them.

Specifically, the Director-General of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Ishaq Kawu Modibbo, Pinnacle Communications Ltd, and two others, yesterday told Justice Folashade Ogunbanjo- Giwa that there was nothing in the charge against them to warrant their defence.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has urged security agencies to arrest the suspended Chairman of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP), Okoi Obono-Obla.
