Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo says some parts of the manifesto of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was drafted at the residence of Pat Utomi, a professor, in 2014. 

According to Laolu Akande, senior special assistant to the vice-president on media and publicity, Osinbajo said this at the 5th edition of the Airtel Touching Lives in Lagos.

The vice-president said the APC included a social safety initiative to specifically address poverty, among other things in its manifesto.

United States House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi called Facebook a “shameful” company on Thursday.

The attack came amid escalating tensions between Democratic leadership and the company.

The Democratic-led U.S. House of Representatives will send formal impeachment charges against President Donald Trump to the Senate next week.

Reuters reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this on Friday.

In a letter to House lawmakers, Pelosi said she has asked House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler to “be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate.”

US House Of Reps Decides On Iran, Gives Trump Ultimatum

Members of the lower legislative chamber in the US on Thursday approved a nonbinding resolution aimed at restraining President Donald Trump from taking military action against Iran.

The House of Representatives voted against Trump’s ability to attack Iran in the future without congressional approval.

The House reached the resolution following wide criticism over Trump’s decision to order the killing of Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani in Iraq.

Before ordering Soleimani’s killing, the Congress was not consulted by the Presidency.

A section of the residence of former Senate President, David Mark, in Otukpo town, Benue State, was on Thursday gutted by fire.

THISDAY gathered that the fire razed down the storehouse where motorcycles meant for empowerment of his constituents were kept.

House Probes Unexecuted Constituency Projects

The House of Representatives has set up an ad-hoc committee to investigate the amount of unspent constituency project funds not remitted in the last 10 years.

House Asks FG To Repatriate Illegal Aliens

The House of Representatives has called on the federal government to immediately review the country’s immigration procedure with a view to restricting illegal immigration and repatriating illegal aliens residing in the country.
