COVID-19 Palliatives Warehouse Looted In Cross River

Some persons suspected to be hoodlums numbering over a thousand broke into government COVID-19 warehouse on Friday and carted away various palliative items worth millions of naira.

The warehouse is located within the premises of the Cross River State Property Investment Limited (CROSPIL) and behind the Construction and Fabrication Academy of West Africa allegedly bought over by Governor Ben Ayade along Bishop Monag Avenue in Calabar Municipal local government area of the state.

Kogi: Hoodlums Attack, Raze Down SDP Secretariat

As tensions and apprehension trail the upcoming governorship election in Kogi State, hoodlums suspected to be political hirelings of a leading party in the state have reportedly attacked the state secretariat of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), burning the property.

According to an eyewitness account, the incident was said have happened at the early hours of Monday, November 11.

An earlier attack on the SDP state secretariat, located close to the APC state secretariat opposite the Lokoja local government secretariat along Murtala Way, involved vandalism.

In Lagos: Hoodlums Attack Petrol Tanker, Scoop Fuel

Some hoodlums at Mile 2 area of Lagos State yesterday attacked a petrol-laden tanker as it passed through the area, causing it to spill its content. The hoodlums had waylaid the truck driver to extort money (Owo boys) from the driver.

When the driver hesitated, the boys hit the tanker with an iron, causing it to spill its content. Following this incident, residents and passersby began to scoop petrol gushing out from the 33,000-litre tanker despite the danger of such action.

Outrage as hoodlums kill LUTH doctor just after graduation

Tempers rose and tears flowed freely yesterday following the death of a fresh medical doctor, barely 24 hours after graduating from the University of Lagos. He was stabbed on Thursday by suspected hoodlums but gave up the ghost yesterday.

The victim, Dr Stephen Urueye, was a house officer at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH).
