Works Begin On 3 Flyovers In Port Harcourt

Construction Works have commenced at the sites of the three flyovers flagged off by the Rivers State Government.

Technicians and engineers of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, the contractor handling the bridges, were seen at the three locations engaging in preliminary works, yesterday.

All through the previous week, the contractor had been on site at the Rebisi flyover (former Garrison), Rumuogba flyover (former Artillery) and Okoro-Nu-Odo flyover, excavating and taking measurements.

Suspected Port Harcourt Serial Killer Pleads Guilty

The suspected Port Harcourt serial killer, Gracious David West, Tuesday pleaded guilty to charges of murder preferred against him by the police at the State High Court.
He, however, accused the police of withholding ₦60,000, wristwatch and jewelry seized from him during his arrest.
This is as the Rivers State Government also took over the prosecution of the suspected serial killer.
The Rivers State Police Command in suit PHC/3426/CR/2019 had preferred a 10-count charge of conspiracy and murder on West.

Breaking: Army court-martial 14 soldiers in Port Harcourt

The 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, this morning court-martialed 14 soldiers, consisting of three officers and eleven men, for kidnapping, murder, attempted murder and other offences.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Maj.-Gen. Jamil Sarham, who is also the Land Component Commander of Operation Delta Safe, while inaugurating the General Court Martial, declared that the army would not condone indiscipline.
