Wife Of Boko Haram/ISWAP Leader, Zainab Usman, Arrested

The Nigerian Army says its troops of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD), have announced the arrest of Zainab Usman, wife of a Boko Haram/ISWAP leader.

The Nigerian Army Operations Media Coordinator, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, in a statement on Sunday, made the announcement in an update on the war against Boko Haram and Islamic State for West Africa (ISWAP) terrorists.

He disclosed that Joint Tactical Team deployed to Borno and Yobe States apprehended Zainab, a Boko Haram female recruiter, β€œat Modu Sulemri area of Abujan Talakawa Ward of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council”.

Boko Haram/ISWAP: UN reacts The United Nations (UN) has reacted to the killing of travellers by Boko Haram in Borno State.

NAN had reported that the sect members on Sunday at Burimari village between Monguno and Gajiram mounted a roadblock where they attacked their victims.

Boko Haram/ISWAP: US Reacts To Execution Of Aid Workers

The United States, US Embassy has condemned the recent violent attacks on humanitarian aid workers in Nigeria.

Four aid workers, working on a health project implemented by the INGO Action Against Hunger, were recently murdered by Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents.

They were among the six aid workers who were abducted on 26 July when their convoy came under attack near Damasak, in Mobbar local government area.

One of the drivers was killed during the attack and another was earlier executed on 24 September 2019.
