
How COVID-19 Pandemic May Affect Food Harvest
A greenhouse farmer, Mr. Chuba Chukwuka, has stated that aΒ prolonged COVID-19 situation in Nigeria may affect food harvest negatively.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Chukwuka said that the pandemic had restricted local farmersβ access to farming inputs and materials, hence making their jobs more tedious.
He said; βEven though we can access our farms, we still do not have access to a lot of farming inputs. Those selling farming inputs and machinery have not been allowed to open shop.
