I’ll Comply With Order On Ex-Governor’s Pension -Malami

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has promised to comply with order of Federal High Court which directed the recovery of payment to former governors serving or have served as senators and ministers.

The order was made on Wednesday by Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo of the Lagos division of the Federal High Court  in a judgment in a suit filed by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).

The Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF),  has said the First Lady Aisha Buhari’s rebuke at the National Mosque during the National Executive Council meeting of the National Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), was not meant for governors alone but the entire political elite.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said there was no division among its governors over the 2023 presidential ticket.

The 36 state governors, under the umbrella of Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), are currently meeting in Abuja.
According to the itinerary, they were to discuss the time frame for the refund of the N614 billion bailout fund issued to their states by the Federal Government.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), yesterday, foreclosed any plans of dialogue with governors of the South East, who they described as traitors.
