Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has replied his counterpart from Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed who recently backed herdsmen carrying AK-47 and other weapons.

The Governor spoke during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, questioning Mohammed’s comment at this point in time in the country.

Akeredolu condemned the statement by Mohammed who had last week defended the herdsmen who bear arms.

Bala Mohammed had while addressing newsmen in Bauchi, said that Fulani herdsmen have no option but to carry arms, adding that the herders were being attacked and killed and their cattle stolen.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has advised Ibadan residents not to take laws into their hands.

Akeredolu said this while condemning the killings in Shasha area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Africa Today News, New York had reported that a crisis had erupted in Shasha market in Ibadan.

One person died in the market as a result of a charm allegedly placed on him by another fellow.

The situation resulted in a free for all in the market on Friday.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Sunday, paid a solidarity visit to his Osun counterpart, Adegboyega Oyetola, over the attack on his convoy by armed thugs that allegedly infiltrated the ranks of the #EndSARS protesters in Osogbo.

Akeredolu, who described the attack as shocking, appealed to the protesting youths to give the government time to attend to their demands and interests.
