Wike Frolics With President Buhari, Requests Visit

River State Governor Nyesom Wike on Tuesday requested a state visit from Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari whom he often criticises.
The request by Wike, a member of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was made in an appreciation letter to Buhari, who he described as a remarkable president.

His request came after the federal government paid N78.9 billion it owed the state government.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has reacted to the disqualification of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, from contesting in the All Progressives Congress’ primaries slated for June 22.

In a tweet on Monday, Wike, mocked the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, whom he did not mention by name but referred to with the certificate saga which sprang up days leading to Obaseki’s disqualification.

Governor Nyesom Wike has approved the building of a school at the site of the demolished hotels.

A statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Communications made this known on Wednesday.

Recall that Wike on Sunday demolished Prodest Hotel in Alode and Etemeteh Hotel in Onne, in Eleme Local Government Area of the state.
