Gov. Fayemi Reiterates Resolve To Pursue Presidential Race

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State who is one of the presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated his resolve of not stepping down from the race.

Fayemi made this known via a statement issued in Abuja on Friday by the Director-General of Fayemi Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr. Femi Ige.

The statement debunked a report that the Ekiti governor might be asked to step down for another aspirant.

The Ekiti state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) said Governor Kayode Fayemi would be forced to contest for presidency in 2023.

This comes days after supporters of Bola Tinubu, national leader of the APC, inaugurated ‘The South-West Agenda (SWAGA)’ in readiness for the 2023 presidency.

Alleged Incompetence: Ekiti Revokes ₦3.2bn Road Project

The Ekiti State Government has revoked the contract for the rehabilitation of Ayede-Ikun -Otun Ekiti road valued at ₦3.2 billion from a construction company handling the project.

The road was awarded to Sharvet Nigeria Limited early January, 2020 and the company has not mobilised to site as contained in the terms of agreement since then.
