An emergency meeting of the Governors of the 19 Northern States over the violence and tension arising from the nationwide #EndSARS protests, is currently in progress in Kaduna State.

The #EndSARS protesters had over the past weeks been agitating the scrapping and the extrajudicial killings by the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force. It took place mostly in the Southern parts of the country.

Obiano Swears In New Anambra Chief Judge, Anyachebelu

Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano, Tuesday at the Executive Council chambers, Government House, Awka swore in Hon Justice Onochie Anyachebelu as the substantive Chief Judge of the state.

Anyachebelu had been acting as the Chief Judge of the state since September 4, 2019, until his recent screening and confirmation by the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The ceremony followed National Judicial Commission’s recommendations of Justice Anyachebelu and the subsequent confirmation by the Anambra State House of Assembly on 11th February, 2020.

The alleged cold war in Kogi State Government House took a new twist weekend, following the suspension of the Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Attah.

DAILY POST, on Sunday, learnt that Dr Attah was suspended with immediate effect on Friday and has been directed to handover to the most senior officer of the hospital.

Sources at the Government House told our correspondent that the suspended hospital CMD is a staunch loyalist of the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja.
