Obaseki Will Lose, Says Gov. Bello After Meeting Buhariβs CoS

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi said the power of incumbency will not guarantee victory for Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo, who recently defected from All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peopleβs Democratic Party (PDP).
Bello stated this when he fielded questions from State House correspondents after a closed-door meeting with the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, in Abuja on Monday.
The meeting, which was presided over by Gambari, was attended by Governors of the North Central zone of the country.
According to Bello, Nigerians have witnessed incumbent leaders including former President Goodluck Jonathan losing elections.
