DPR Seals 17 Filling Stations In Gombe

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Gombe State on Wednesday, sealed six filling stations for diversion of over 800,000 litres of petroleum product and operating with expired license.

Alhaji Abdullahi Abawa, DPR Head of Operation, disclosed this shortly after an inspection visit to some filling stations in Gombe.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the number of filling stations shut down so far in Gombe has risen to 17.

Eleven filling stations were sealed on Monday for sharp practices.

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has reacted to a recent survey report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) ranking Gombe as the second most corrupt state in Nigeria.

Gombe Governor Inaugurates Commissioners, Urges Teamwork

Gombe Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has tasked his appointed commissioners to work as a team towards achieving the common goals of his administration.

INEC and stakeholders inspect retrieved materials in Gombe

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Gombe State on Tuesday led stakeholders to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to inspect retrieved sensitive election materials. The material had earlier been distributed to the 11 Local Government Areas, but had to be retrieved as a result of the shift in the date of the elections.
