Obaseki Govt Demolishes Oshiomhole Ex-Aide’s Hotel

The Governor Godwin Obaseki-led Edo Government on Wednesday, demolished T. Latifa Hotel belonging to Mr Tony Adun, also known as Kabaka, located at Ugbor area of Benin City.

Adun is a former aide of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

The government had stated that the property violated the building laws of the state and that it sits across a road in the Ugbor-Amagba axis of Oredo Local Government Area.

Special Adviser to Obaseki on Media, Crusoe Osagie, stated that deed of transfer being paraded by Adun was also not registered with the state government.

Gov. Obaseki Reveals Real Cause Of Crisis With Oshiomhole

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has revealed the cause of the crisis between him and Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Obaseki disclosed that the crisis was due to his refusal to hand over the “key to the treasury” of the state to Oshiomhole and his “cronies.”

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, the governor explained that while he believed in using the state resources to serve the people, Oshiomhole and his cronies believe it should be used to “carry them along.”

Gov. Obaseki Threatens To Expel Oshiomhole, Give Reasons

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has threatened to expel Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Obaseki warned that Oshiomhole would be expelled if he continues to “disrupt activities” in the state and the state arm of the party.

The governor issued the threat during a meeting with the APC local government Chairmen in the state yesterday in Benin, where he also directed the party chairmen to seriously deal with any persons or group carrying out activities outside what the party hierarchy states.
