
Italy’s President Storms Mozambique To Discuss Gas Supplies
In an effort to minimize Rome’s dependency on Russia, Italian President Sergio Mattarella met with his Mozambican colleague Filipe Nyusi on Tuesday in Maputo to discuss gas supply.
Prior to the start of an offshore gas project operated by the Italian energy company Eni in the north of Mozambique, which has been ravaged by insurgency, Mattarella welcomed energy cooperation between the two nations during the visit.
