Ezekwesili Reacts As Buhari Orders Major Lockdown

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s nationwide broadcast will help to bring all the separate interventions into an integrated response strategy.

Buhari had, during a nationwide broadcast on Sunday, ordered a lockdown of Abuja, Lagos, and Ogun States, respectively, in a move to curtail the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) to other states.

The move became necessary following the rise in cases of patients with Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has said there is a possibility of a global recession affecting Nigeria following outbreak of Coronavirus.

Few days ago, Nigeria confirmed its second case of the CoVID-19 virus which has continued to spread widely in Europe and other countries outside of China.

The virus has recently resulted in travel bans to some countries and cancellation of premier league fixture between Manchester City and Arsenal.

Former Minister of Education, Alhaji Dauda Birma, has said that only God can save Nigeria from splitting.

The former Minister raised the alarm that some foreign forces with their internal collaborators are fighting hard to ensure that the country breaks up.
