Against the backdrop of the recent suspension of industrial action by ASUU, the Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has asserted all hands must be on deck to ensure academic strikes in universities become a thing of the past.

The Speaker made this assertion in a statement hailing the end of an eight-month-long strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)

Members of Abuja Newspapers Distributors Association (ANDA) are set to protest the killing of their member by a security aide to the Speaker of House Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has declared that the 9th House is committed to overhauling policing in Nigeria.

The Speaker stated that Nigerians are scared of police than criminals.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila says the House will not standby while police brutalise and kill innocent Nigerians.

The Speaker said this at the public hearing conducted by the House Committee on Police Affairs on enhancing the police force for better service delivery.

Gbajabiamila: Amend Constitution To Recognize Amotekun

Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has directed the Leader of the House, Hassan Ado Dogwa to bring a bill that will amend the 1999 constitution to recognize Amotekun and other similar security outfits in the country.
