The Federal Government has appealed to those living in border communities to exercise more patience over the suspension of fuel supply to their areas.

NAN recalls that the Federal Government, through the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), in November 2019, announced the suspension of petrol and diesel supply to filling stations within 20 kilometres radius to all Nigerian borders.

The people of the area have since been complaining that the policy is having adverse effect on them; saying it has paralysed economic activities in their areas.

Army Commences Exercise Crocodile Smile lV In Ondo

The 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army said it would commence a field training exercise code named “Exercise Crocodile Smile IV” in Ondo State on Wednesday.

Maj. Victor Olukoya, an Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, said this in a statement in Akure on Tuesday.

He said that the official flag off of the exercise would take place at the Brigade Super Camp on Lawyer Oke Street, Okitipupa, Ondo State.

The Nigerian army has refuted claims that it has deployed troops across the states of the federation to begin ‘Operation Positive Identification’ (OPI) exercise.
A number of Nigerian organisations issued travel advisories to their staff concerning the military operation.
