EndSARS: We’re Still Estimating Our Losses – Lagos Govt

The Lagos State Government has expressed concern that the value of damage to property affecting various parastatals during the EndSARS protest is yet to be determined, several months after.

Afolabi Ayantayo, Special Adviser, Parastatals Monitoring Office, disclosed this during the ministerial press briefing on Tuesday to commemorate the second anniversary of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration held in Alausa, Ikeja.

According to Ayantayo, 20 parastatals were affected in varying degrees during the EndSARS protest in the State, adding that the government is still assessing and compiling the data.

Hoodlums Disrupt Benin #EndSARS Protest, Break Prison’s Gate

There was chaos in Benin when suspected hoodlums hijacked the #EndSARS protest and broke into the Benin Prison along Sapele road and freed several inmates in one of the cells.

Tinubu Denies Sponsoring #EndSARS Protests

The national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has denied been among the sponsors of the #EndSARS protest.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by Tunde Rahman, spokesman of the APC chieftain, Tinubu could not have sponsored a protest that is affecting the economy of Lagos state.

He added that it is impossible for the former governor of Lagos State to sponsor the protest in all the states where it has occurred.
