In a bid to weaken the influence of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the Federal Government of Nigeria, on Tuesday, registered two unions in the university system.

The unions are the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics and the Congress of Nigerian University Academics.

Lagos Govt Orders All Schools To Resume September 5

The Government of Lagos State has mandated all schools to begin the 2022/2023 academic year on September 5 , 2022 (Tomorrow).

This decision was confirmed in a statement on Saturday issued by the Director-General, Office of Education Quality Assurance of the state, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York.

According to Seriki-Ayeni, the date was approved by the Commissioner for Education in the state, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo.
