Edo state caretaker chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Col David Imuse (Rtd.) has asked the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki to immediately resign from office over security challenges in the state.

Col Imuse in a statement alleged that Obaseki had run out of ideas on how to govern the state.

Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr Crusoe Osagie, has said the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, is only disappointed because Governor Godwin Obaseki refused to be used in his quest to become a godfather in the state.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, ineligible to contest in the July 22 governorship primary election in Edo State.

Edo Governorship: No Man Can Stop Me, Obaseki Boasts

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday said no man can stop him from being governor for a second term in the state.

Obaseki is having a running battle with his godfather and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole.

Oshiomhole’s faction of the party, had on Tuesday night endorsed the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the consensus candidate of the party for the Edo poll.

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has revealed the cause of the crisis between him and Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
