Editors seek waivers on newsprint, others

The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) has solicited waivers on imported materials needed for the print media industry.
The demand, the guild said, would not becloud its sense of responsibility in performing its professional duties to the nation and humanity.
Addressing reporters on Wednesday night after meeting with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, NGEβs President Funke Egbemode said the media are in business, like every other business contributing to the economy.
She said the industry would need such support to stay in business.
