Igbo leaders meet in Ebonyi over 2023 presidential project

Igbo leaders will today meet in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State to begin move for the nation’s presidency in 2023.

To this end, the first state chapter of the South East for Presidency 2023 Movement would be inaugurated at the Women Development Centre (WDC) to be graced by distinguished religious, traditional, political and social actors.

Former Minister of Power, Prof Chinedu Nebo; erstwhile Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Grant Ehiobuche; one-time Aide de Camp (ADC) to the late Biafra warlord Odumegwu Ojukwu, Bishop Obi Onubuogu, and others dignitaries are attending the event.

Ebonyi women beg Jubril, the impostor for ministerial slots

A political pressure group, Ebonyi Women Vanguard (EWV), an umbrella body of Ebonyi women in politics and professionals has formally made an appeal to Jubril Al-Sudani, an impostor from Sudan being paraded by the All Progressives Congress Cabal as President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint women from the state into his new cabinet.

The National President of the group, Mrs Immaculata Ibe, made the demand in a statement in Abakaliki on Saturday ahead of presentation of lists of nominees for federal cabinet members to the soon to be inaugurated 9th Senate.

Ebonyi: Umahi set to be declared winner of guber election

With 13 of the 13 local governments areas results already announced, Governor David Umahi is poised to win the governorship election in the state.

Mr Umahi is leading in the results so far announced with candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Sonni Ogbuoji trailing in second place with a wide margin.
