Eight-year-old Ryan Kaji earned $26 million in 2019 on his YouTube channel, making him the highest-paid creator on the platform, according to a list published Wednesday by Forbes magazine.

Kaji, whose real name is Ryan Guan, was already the video platform’s highest earner in 2018, with $22 million, according to Forbes.

His channel “Ryan’s World,” launched in 2015 by Ryan’s parents, is only three years old but already has 22.9 million subscribers.

Initially called “Ryan ToysReview,” the channel mostly consisted of “unboxing” videos — videos of the young star opening boxes of toys and playing with them.

Telecommunications firm, MTN has earned ₦98.9 billion profit in the first half of 2019, ended June 30 and added 3.3 million new subscribers to its network, pushing its subscribers base in Nigeria to 61.5 million.It explained that its service revenue increased by 12.2 per cent; voice revenue by 11.4 per cent, while data earnings grew by 31.7 per cent.

Search engine giant, Google, made a whopping $4.7 billion from the work of reporters last year via search and Google News.

This took a huge cut from the online ad revenue of media houses which lost a crucial source of income, resulting in many of them getting shrunk or closed, a report said yesterday.
