Polygamy is a phenomenon often associated with African people. In almost all African societies, polygamy is an acceptable and valid form of marriage β in fact, monogamy was once associated with people of lower social status.
Award-winning Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has now opined that polygamy should be legalised in Ghana.
