Disregard ‘Fake News’ About Situation In North East – GOC

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Odogbo Ibadan, Maj-Gen Anthony Omozoje, has advised soldiers to remain focus and “disregard fake news on the social media about the situations in the North East Nigeria”.

Omozoje gave the advice on Saturday in Ibadan during the 2 Division Nigerian Army West African Social Activities (WASA) to mark the end of year 2019 activities of the Nigerian Army.

The GOC said that the intent of the maker of such news was to undermine the progress made so far by the Nigerian Army in the fight against terrorism.

Okorocha urges IGP to disregard Ihedioha’s petition

Sen. Rochas Okorocha, the immediate past governor of Imo has urged the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu to disregard the petition against him by the present Governor, Emeka Ihedioha.

He said that the Nigerian Police Force, being a reputable organisation, should not allow itself to be distracted by “such deceitful petition” which he said lacked merit.
