Kano Integrity Forum on the Creation of New Emirates has disagreed with the Bashir Othman Tofa-led, 12 elders in the state on the creation of additional councils, saying that all evidence indicates that the advantage of the new policy outweighs its disadvantages,

Organised Labour has faulted the pronouncement of Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige that the federal government would only be able to pay the minimum wage if it retrenched some workers.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has described the recall of Northerners, especially the Fulani herders, from the southern part of the country as unpatriotic and retrogressive.
