Despite living for more than six decades as an independent country, Nigerians have not been able to enjoy Nigeria as it is supposed to be.

From its inception till date, Nigeria has hardly enjoyed internal peace having been faced with perennial crises of state or territorial legitimacy, all of which have remained heavy stumbling blocks as far as its effort at national cohesion, stability, democratisation, …

South-East Governors And Politics Of Development

Politics, according to bookmakers, is the contestation of power and authority. Politics embodied in human existentialism, has defined and redefined man activities, in cyclical form, since creation. It has instinctively become part of man’s DNA to engage in political intrigues, albeit willfully and unwillingly. This narration probably must have inspired Great Aristotle, in his legendary literary works, to classify man as a political animal, whose first need in nature, is survival.
The crafters of political philosophies, principles and rules, knew that without checks and balances rolled in written and unwritten principles guiding the game of power play and how it …

‘Why 5G Is Critical To Nigeria’s Development’

Amid concerns of Nigeria’s readiness for the Fifth Generation (5G) technology, stakeholders have stressed the need why the country cannot wait any longer to embrace the revolution.

Although to them, the current state of services as regards previous generations of technologies, including 2G, 3G and 4G still leave much to be desired in Nigeria, other countries are already moving towards 5G.

They said missing the 5G opportunities will be a big developmental challenge, which the country may not be able to recover from in the years to come.

Arguably, with Nigeria conspicuously missing in the past industrial revolutions, the benefits

In Murtala Nyako’s note calling for the establishment of NEDC in 2015, there was no tangible reason adduced for the establishment of the commission.

He only reeled out statistics that the North-East of Nigeria has the worst socio-economic conditions in the country.
That the zone has the highest rate of poverty in Nigeria, highest number of out-of-school children in primary and junior secondary school, and low percentage of candidates with five credits and above including Mathematics and English.
