Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has openly reacted to Senator Ademola Adeleke’s victory at the just-concluded Osun governorship election while noting that it was a good omen for the party come 2023.

Senator Adeleke had beat the current governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the other contenders with over 400,000 votes across all local government areas.

British prosecutors have launched an attempt to confiscate 30.8 million pounds ($39.3 million) from Bhadresh Gohil, the London lawyer who assisted former Delta state governor James Ibori in looting and laundering funds from the state.

Gohil was convicted in 2010 of 13 counts of money-laundering and other offences linked to his role in the case of Ibori, who was governor of Delta from 1999 to 2007.

Okowa Swears In 3 Judges, Urges Speedy Dispensation Of Justice

Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on Friday swore in three new Customary Court of Appeal judges in the state, with a charge to the judiciary to ensure speedy dispensation of justice at all times.

The new judges are Dele Okafor, Grace Abanre and Jessica Gberevbie.

The governor congratulated the three judges, and said that their appointments were based on their personal integrity and years of experience and urged them to bring their experiences to bear in the discharge of their duties.
