Nigeria vs Libya: Osimhen delivers U23 AFCON qualification

Victor Osimhen’s hat-trick and a goal from Chidozie Okereke against Libya handed Nigeria a slot in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations. Imama Amakpakabo’s men rallied past the Libyan 4-0 after losing the first leg 2-0 at the Ben Guerdane Stadium in Tunisia.

Osimhen, Valentine Ozornwafor, Chidozie Awaziem and Francis Uzoho were drafted into the team after the team lost the first leg. The quartet were included in the starting line up at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

Jubril, Buhar’s Impostor delivers unit to APC Candidates

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday delivered his polling unit 003, Kofar Baru III (A and B) Daura, Katsina State, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the state, Aminu Masari, with 370 votes.

The governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Lado Danmarke, scored 33 votes to come second at the polling unit.

The result of the State House Assembly at the unit indicated that the APC candidate for the Daura constituency, Nasir Yahaya, got 336 as against 40 votes scored by Lawal Husseini, the PDP candidate.
