UN, EU Decry Boko Haram, ISWAP Attacks Against Aid Workers

The European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) expressed concerns, in a joint press conference on Friday, about the recent upsurge in attacks against aid workers and civilians by Boko Haram and ISWAP in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.

They reiterated their commitment to work better together and strengthen efforts to provide life-saving assistance to those affected by more than ten years of crisis in the states and to increase support to people rebuilding their lives and communities.

House Of Representatives Decry Delays In Justice Delivery

The House of Representatives has decried the slow pace of justice delivery in the country, saying the backlog of pending cases in various courts remains a source of concern in the judiciary.

Chairman, House committee on Judiciary, Onofiok Luke, who made the assertion yesterday in Abuja, said it was unfortunate that some matters spend up to 10 years before their final adjudication at the Supreme Court.
