2023: I’ve Submitted My Running Mate’s Name To INEC – Tinubu

Just on the verge of the deadline given by the electoral umpire, the Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Friday confirmed that he submitted the name of his running mate for the 2023 Presidential election to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Tinubu made this known in a statement issued on Friday which was sighted by Africa Daily News, New York.

The APC Presidential Candidate, however, declined to name who his running mate is, he revealed that he had submitted ‘duly completed nomination forms to INEC’.

Nigerian Insurance Companies Get Recapitalisation Deadline

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has extended the recapitalisation deadline for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies earlier slated for June 30, 2020 to December 31, 2020.

A circular with No: NAICOM/
DPR/CIR/25-03/2019 /DECEMBER 30, 2019 signed by Mr Pius Agboola, Director, Policy and Regulation, NAICOM for the Acting Commisioner for Insurance, Mr Sunday Thomas, conveyed the new directive to all insurance and reinsurance companies.

It reads: “This circular is in furtherance to our earlier circulars referencedNAICOM/DPR/CIR/25/2019 dated May 20, 2019 and NAICOM/DPR/CIR/25-01/2019 dated July 23, 2019 on the above

NIS Gives Deadline For e-Registration Of Foreign Migrants

The Cross River Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has called on foreign migrants, who are yet to be captured in its database, to do so before the January 2020 deadline.

The Comptroller of NIS in the state, Mr Okey Ezugwu, made the call during the end of year party held at the Command’s headquarters to celebrate the year’s activities in Calabar.

Ezugwu said that the Federal Government gave six months for the migrants to register for free in the NIS database so that they can be accounted for.

U.S. congressional Democrats on Saturday headed for a showdown with the Internal Revenue Service over President Donald Trump’s tax returns, setting a new hard deadline of April 23 for the federal tax agency to hand the documents over to lawmakers.
