Dickson’s Critics Will Regret After His Exit – Bayelsa Govt

The Bayelsa State Government yesterday maintained that those who were bent on taking the outgoing Governor of the state, Seriake Dickson, to the cleaners, since the loss of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election, would regret it after his exit.

Speaking during the monthly transparency briefing for the month of November, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Orientation, argued that  Dickson will go down in history as one of the best performing governors in the country.

Empowerment: I’ll Distribute Shovels LG Boss Blasts Critics

The last is yet to be head on the controversy over the distribution of wheelbarrow to some youths in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State as a means of empowerment.

THISDAY had reported that the Transition Committee Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Chinwe Ugwu distributed 30 wheelbarrows to the youths during an empowerment programme.

The development attracted harsh comments from residents of Enugu and beyond, with many calling it a ‘show of shame.’

Some film critics say ‘The Delivery Boy’, a film that explores the back story of terrorists, deserves the Oscars and other international awards.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the intense, independent film was written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Adekunle ‘Nodash’ Adejuyigbe.

‘The Delivery Boy’ is the story of a runaway teenage suicide bomber (Jammal Ibrahim) and his newfound ally, a young prostitute (Jemima Osunde) who must rely on each other to survive the night.
