Iran citizens on Sunday shrugged off what it described as US President Joe Biden’s ‘interference’ in the month-old protests since the report of the death of Mahsa Amini in the custody of the morality police.

Foreign affairs spokesman Nasser Kanani on Monday wrote on Instagram; ‘Iran is too strong for its will to be swayed by the interference … by a politician tired of years of failure’.

The Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe has waded into the crisis over the selection of a new Vice Chancellor of the institution.

The Chancellor in a letter to the federal ministry of education and National Universities Commission, NUC, urged them to take urgent steps towards resolving the impasse.

Less than two weeks after the embattled chairman of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State threw in the towel, the State Executive Committee (SEC) members of the party in the state, have removed the Acting Chairman of the party, Hon.
