The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 2, Lagos, Lawal Shehu, has warned police officers who are involved in various forms of corrupt practices to desist hence they would be made to pay for their illicit acts. Lawal lamented that some officers were involved in corruption by collecting money for bail while it was crystal clear and written in all police stations that bail is free.

Katsina Governor Holds Meeting With Criminal Gang Heads
Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State at the weekend explained that ongoing meeting with gang leaders of bandits terrorising the North-west of the country is aimed at stopping the escalating violence in the region, pointing out that dialogue has become an option following the failure of force.

Notorious criminal, Ariyo, 4 others to die by hanging
An Ilorin High Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara state capital has sentenced a notorious criminal, Olatunji Ibrahim Ariyo, and four others to death by hanging.
Ariyo, who is popular in the state capital, Ilorin, for his nefarious activities, was sentenced along side, Ganiyu Sulyman Yaro, Timothy Oyebanji, Lukman Olateju Sanda and Akeem Olayinka (deceased).
