600 Test Negative After Contact With Hungarian FM For Covid-19

About 600 people who came in contact with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto on his recent visit Cambodia, have tested negative for the COVID-19.

Cambodia’s Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on Thursday.

UN Refugee Chief Tests Positive For COVID-19

The UN refugee chief said Wednesday that he had tested positive for Covid-19 after leading the first day of the agency’s main annual meeting in person.

Filippo Grandi, who kicked off UNHCR’s week-long Executive Committee meeting in Geneva on Monday, told participants via video-link that he would need to continue following the event from home.

The Director-General, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chike Ihekweazu, has said that the COVID-19 transmission would rise with the reopening of schools and airports.

He, therefore, warned against complacency and the belief that infection rates were declining.

A UN rights expert called Tuesday for governments to ban evictions until the COVID-19 pandemic ends, warning the number of people being expelled from their homes was rising globally.

The Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee on COVID-19 in Kwara State, Femi Oladiji, has said only those with symptoms of COVID-19 can be isolated at the isolation centre.
